Paul spoke to us about the recurring theme of power throughout Shakespeare’s plays, looking at King Lear, Hamlet and Henry IV, as well as touching on the works of Christopher Marlowe.
He also touched upon his career as a teacher; how it started, progressed, why he enjoys the job and how he juggles it with writing novels. I am lucky enough to be working again with Paul for my work experience this year.
Elizabeth McGhee, one of the students from Solent who attended the talk, wrote an article for On the Scene Magazine about the event. Click here to read it.
